The other schools have to work together to make that happen, and it would take persistence. But I don’t see how people think it’s fine.

The sideline ref in the 2019 Bama football game didn’t go to Bama but grew up in Hoover (I think). Just by having people and friends around you that are Bama fans can influence decisions. Should be in Charlotte.

Heck, Greg Sankey is from Auburn, New York and his directive in Birmingham is to protect Bama.

It’s all about not having the narrative out there that because they’re based in Birmingham, Alabama, they’re always going to favor Alabama. You’d think they would want it to be in a somewhat neutral (total neutrality is impossible in a SEC state) spot.

UT teams psych themselves out against Bama, even when we're the better team. Stats get in the players' heads, things go a little south, Bama gets the calls, then... "here we go." We've seen it in every sport.

This is definitely true in football. I am not sure it is true in other sports. Definitely not true in baseball. Doubt it's true in basketball.
