I agree completely, players still culpable but I didn’t like the media angle. On the other hand, Football acted and did much better. There was always steroids, but it never quite got the attention because it was penalized.Player’s Union gets an undeserved free pass. Kept winning every legal battle and it made them cocky. To the point of not allowing any drug testing. Owners simply accepted they had no choice. Plead past use of amphetamines til the sun doesn’t shine...being really alert never made a player like Brady Anderson hit 50 home runs and it never made a certain type of superstar in Bonds own every HR record when he wasn’t that type of player 3 quarters into his career. It wasn’t fun...it was a travesty. Owners never earned my love, but being enable by Congress to clamp down on this crap didn’t earn any hate either. All that and the brain dead idiots could have avoided testing if an overwhelming majority passes a PREANNOUNCED anonymous test. They knew WHEN it was happening with plenty of time to cycle off...and still failed the test at a massive rate. Cry me a river.
Toast and tea...keep it away from meat.
Why do you say that? Because it uses cinnamon and other non-traditional spices?
Married into two Hispanic families and my brother-in-law is El Paso proper. Never seen cinnamon jars in any of the laboratories. If it had ever been slipped into menudo, I would have tossed the batch. Wife hates Indian food and never detected it in Korean or Thai or any other Asian jams. I don’t feel a bit deprived. You must not enjoy things like Indian or other Asian foods. It's also a fairly common ingredient in traditional Mexican sauces like mole'. Not saying TexMex chili is strictly Mexican (obviously), but suggesting cinnamon has no use in savory dishes is uncharacteristically limited for you.
Got introduced to it by my stepmom who is from Cinci back in the 80s...at first I was like "This ain't chili, it sucks" but over time I actually started liking it. I love her homemade three way chili now.Yep. Personal preference I guess, but I can’t stand it. I love giving folks from Cincy hell about it, they get emotional about it
I think if they had called it something besides "chili" that people wouldn't hate it so bad. I mean..on first experience your brain is expecting one thing, but you get something that is completely different than you are expecting, so it is natural to hate it at first. Why do you say that? Because it uses cinnamon and other non-traditional spices?
Yeah..as much as I disagree with you on it being fun or not, I wish it had never happened.Player’s Union gets an undeserved free pass. Kept winning every legal battle and it made them cocky.
