I think if they had called it something besides "chili" that people wouldn't hate it so bad. I mean..on first experience your brain is expecting one thing, but you get something that is completely different than you are expecting, so it is natural to hate it at first.
I am a cantankerous crusty old fart, and I have no idea why Ek posting his own thing like that bothers anybody. Hell..if it bothers you so freakin much then just ignore it.
Exactly. I love chili and I love Mediterranean and North African flavors.I think if they had called it something besides "chili" that people wouldn't hate it so bad. Like him otherwise and if his linebackers and special times balls out, not a **** will be given. But it was brought up and it’s my opinion.I am a cantankerous crusty old fart, and I have no idea why Ek posting his own thing like that bothers anybody. Agree with everything you said except the Indian food part haha. Just awful for the most part, no matter how many times I try it. And the smell! That's fair. First time I ate Indian food I was not impressed. Now I crave it.
I like a very broad range of foods, and the older I get that only increases. I don't eat much fast food, so the chain joints in Cincinnati would not appeal to me anyway, but I do enjoy their twist occasionally. I've have had some very good homemade versions.
I do find people to be pretty funny with their criticisms of foods that get outside their tiny box though. In the grand scheme, American food in any form is nascent compared to much old cultures with far more people.
Savages! Haha it's too much for me. It's like walking into one of those lotion stores, makes me nauseous smelling so many ultra strong scents at once. Maybe over time my sense of smell will diminish and I'll enjoy it.Indian food is delicious. The smell? Those are called spices. Indian folks use more than salt and pepper.
