Looks like we’ll be facing a righty from Texas (thank god), Tristan Stevens. He pitched game 2 of their super regional and went 5.2 innings with 8 hits and 4 runs given up with only 3 K’s.. just looking at his game a little bit he seems like a much better matchup for us to wake the bats up.

In my opinion Vitello stays but not without worrying us with BVS til the ink is dry on his contract. The Virginia coach is who I believe will ultimately end up the leader of the baseball bayou bengals.

I didn’t like the heupel hire at all in the beginning….. the more I studied the guy…. The man re I started to like the hire.

If he bolts I believe most of the blame is timing. Vitello may think the university slow played the plans of stadium renovations. Of course I'm sure UT was waiting to see some tangible success. It just so happens success and the opening of what many perceive to be the best college baseball job in the country came along at exactly the same time.
