I know BVS is strong with LSU and Vitello, and I’m not saying he’s not leaving, but Basilio said the below a few minutes ago.

Basilio says LSU AD is in Omaha. Says he’s heard he wants to get a look at UVA coach Brian O’Connor. Has ties with Mainieri. He says he’s heard there’s no smoke around LSU and TV based off of people he’s talked to.

I would agree but we also came out pretty flat against wright state and even LSU game one, but we looked a lot more relaxed after those games. We just need to win some more games and hopefully force LSU to hire someone else

I don't blame Vitello for listening to LSU's overtures or even taking the job. I never felt any animosity towards Barnes for flirting with UCLA. Most folks looking for the best situation for themselves would do the exact same thing. Neither Tony nor Rick have any prior ties to Tennessee other than Rick's wife being an alum.
