I want to wish him the best, but at the same time, I'm hoping he doesn't end up on a team we play and kick our ass.

I gave up trying. At this point it is what it is.

I’m honestly really close to just giving up college football altogether. It’s a boring product and we are awful with no hope in sight. I just don’t get a lot of enjoyment out of it anymore.

And when I say give up I mean I’m not planning my Saturdays around it. If I have time and there is a good game on I will watch or have it on in the background. I’m certainly not spending any kind of money on it anymore.
I don’t think I’ve looked forward to football since 2016. I’ve sat through football to get to basketball ever since.

So our last recruiting class is down to what? 15 signees? Those hits just keep a'comin'.

Not me……. I’m fired up and counting down every single second to get back inside neyland…. We still have plenty of quality of defensive linemen and I have no doubts that the qb position will be solid…Go Vols!

I disagree, players overwhelmingly said they wanted accountability. This is what accountability looks like. This is how you reform a culture. I’m excited.
Was it the walk-ons who wanted accountability? Probably in hopes of getting playing time.

j/k

Seriously, I'm all for accountability. What happened with Salter had to happen. It doesn't change my fear that we're going to continue to suck at football. I'm happy we're competitive in basketball and baseball, but as long as we suck in football, I'll feel dead inside.

We will win 7 games this year and have fun doing it.

the inmates cannot run the asylum. look at the studies where actors were put into a prison, the college students essentially descended into chaos.

granted theres a fine line, people have to have structure including accountability. may not know it, but on some level have to have it.

QB depth chart looking like:
1. HB-SO
2. Milton-JR
3. Maurer- RS SO
4. Hooker- SR

im thinking for the 2023 recruiting class we take 2 qbs, hopefully Dante Moore commits here as well as that qb from Ravenwood

Salter's dismissal is 100% justified and addition by subtraction in my mind. The fault is his for the decisions he made, however the bigger issue is that the program has to be strong enough for incoming freshmen to have the leeway and support to 'figure it out'. This only happens when we have stability in the program as a whole. I think that Coach Hype will be given the time to implement this structure, but until such time as that happens (2-3 years), there's no choice but to purge kids who are going to be distractions.
