This year is gonna suck so bad.

All I really want to do is beat Kentucky at this point. My only wish for ‘21
I have this terrible gnawing feeling that UK is about to go on a little run against us similar to how Vandy did. There’s always some new depths to plumb for Volunteer football.

I’m sticking with 4-8 this year though I think unlike 2017 we will probably find an SEC win. Vandy is my guess.

Going to hurt badly when those players were supposed to be upper classmen.

Just like Pruitt's first class killed the team this past season.
The transfer portal, I think, reduces the negative impact on a smaller class like this. It is so easy to supplement a small class with newcomers nowadays.

I still remember the night we beat UGA, having a beer and thinking we were finally on our way back after 10 years of misery and futility. If only I’d known it was going to just get worse from there.
Yeah and the Texas AM game didn’t bother me much. Very good game. The punch in the nuts was Bama coming into Neyland and blowing us out. Then it went downhill with South Carolina, losing Hurd, losing to vandy…

So our last recruiting class is down to what? 15 signees? Those hits just keep a'comin'.
doesnt hurt as bad with transfers.

however, the open wound continues to be the 85 number and 25. NCAA continues to operate under a batten down the hatches mentality, scared **** less of litigation. Leave it up to conferences, you a holes. (i believe the 25 number to be a conference rule, that is mesozoic in its life span).

Transfer portal will alleviate that. We’ll just have to build our class from the transfer portal the next few years.

But I’ll say at this point I’m telling the ncaa to F off. We’ve killed ourselves. Have been fully transparent. Have lost an insane number of signees and transfers. Have changed the entire regime.

I’m done. We’re beat up enough. One year bowl ban and that’s it. Announce it quick.

Anything else and you can F off.

The NCAA is in big trouble anyway after that court ruling. There’s never been a better time to go to them and ask to settle this thing quickly.

QB depth chart looking like:
1. HB-SO
2. Milton-JR
3. Maurer- RS SO
4. Hooker- SR

im thinking for the 2023 recruiting class we take 2 qbs, hopefully Dante Moore commits here as well as that qb from Ravenwood
Won’t get both. You’re forgetting Tayven Jackson next year.

When we keep getting news like this, it's hard to maintain positivity. But I'm really trying.
He was a non-factor for this season. Originally thought he could legitimately compete for the starting job after a preparatory season…pre-first incident. That went out the window and I’ve already written him off afterwards. He was a drag on the team and it was only getting worse.

No doubt. I personally don't believe the NCAA has anything serious on us. And what they do have will look like peanuts in comparison to what we'll be doing once the NLI bill goes live.

"Jeremy Pruitt was giving players $10k on visits. On another note, Harrison Bailey was just paid $50k to sign autographs at Calhouns."

For sure, as long as you don't have a bunch of kids going out.
It was posted on here and VQ that without walk-ons, the actual attrition vs addition tale of the tape was 10 to 9. Salter makes that 11 to 9 even tho he was a nonfactor for this season and if we land Prunty?
