I was actually having a "lucid" thought and if you take the money the SEC and BIG 10 make on TV revenue alone there is no way the other conferences can compete when it comes to generating revenue to "Pay" players. Some schools like Notre Dame, Texas, Oklahoma and maybe a few others like USC. Oregon, Stanford and Clemson can generate big bucks and maybe a few other ACC schools but overall that's pretty much it. Then you get into state schools vs private and on and on. Now you have the Government both State and Federal making rules for college sports who would have ever thunk it...........not me and I have coloring books and Crayons and I'm on a steady diet of Skittles.............go figure.
Found one of your coloring pictures. Looks like you're drinking some type of milk....Hmmmm....

Who has more potential to rebound to elite status - Nebraska, Colorado, Tennessee?

Even without orange colored lenses, it's UT IMO. Heup/DW know what to do. Give them the resources to go do it. UCF made it to the national stage and conversation without much to go on other that George O'Leary's work. UT can get there over the next few years and remain there with more resources, tradition, etc.

It’s UT. Nebraska probably has more tradition, but they’re several hundred miles from good recruits. Nebraska’s only hope IMO is going back to the triple option and getting those Nebraska corn fed boys to block. Too bad Scott Frost went the opposite route and coaches the spread option. He’d be the perfect candidate to teach the triple option. I’d love to see Nebraska get back to being a top 10 team.

Ben McKee just said on Swain Event that a recruit he interviewed over the weekend said that "when you think of Tennessee, you don't expect much".
Tennessee just hasn't been good in 20 years.

Maybe I’m missing it, but I’m not sure what that recruit means. We have everything Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, etc has except for a winning record. Everything is there for us to be just as successful.

Phil Steele apparently has our season going like this

@UK - L
Georgia - L

Dude is just pissed that his name is twss joke.

Dear Phil (twss) Steele,

The Gump is gone. JG is gone. We're gonna score like your Momma's prom date .... a lot and often.
Defense will play fast and loose (again your Momma). No more quadratic formula pre-snap calculations.
Start penning your Heupel for COY apology piece ( sure there is another Momma joke).

Sincerely,
VN

VQ pod was lame. For AP to tease potentially having three commits this week, virtually nothing about recruits was mentioned.

Just very high level generic camp talk and NIL talk.

The NIL stuff will all even out in a capitalist system….businesses won’t be spending good money on players who don’t generate business. It won’t matter if they are starting QBs or 4th stringer punters. Look at the NFL….how many long snappers have endorsements deals?

The same with recruits. IMO people won’t spend big money for very long on volatile, unknown commodities like 17-18 year old football players.

Unless there is an Al Wilson, a Reggie White, a Willie Gault, a Jason Witten, or a Peyton Manning out there, there won’t be any NIL money coming from this source…the player would have to have a significant impact for me to get anything with their name on it. I would probably still opt for the Tennessee gear rather than player gear anyway…but that’s just me.

To me that seems the most logical level
Headed prediction with Pitt being the only real heavy discussion. Can we also beat UK and Missouri? Sure but I’d favor them over today no doubt.

I’m happy that collegiate players can finally make honest money off of their NIL.

I also recognize like most of you that the players are going to be sorely disappointed by the lack of money they make. It’s only going to be a select few who get the big bucks.

The 3rd string QB or punter waiting for DM’s gonna be like…

the NCAA is boar tits.

Any 'governing body' would have seen this coming, before it approved. Now, they very well have a uniform plan. Which, is needed. But, enforcing. Pfffft.

They have lots of social media followers, there are products out there that will pay anyone to promote their product with lots of followers. It’ll probably only pay them $100 here and there but you’ll be surprised just due to their shear number of followers and interactions on their posts they’ll have some reach out to them.

I bet we get one of Pitt, Kentucky, or Missouri and more than likely 2 of the three.
