I think a local kid like Cade Mays will make a killing, hell, probably Cooper, too. Harrison, Velus, Hyatt and whoever shows out a RB. If we end up having a dominant defensive player, they will get paid, too.

Btw, why has everybody forgotten about Slaughter, I think that kid flashed early as a freshman, last year. Not saying DS will be the dominant defensive player, just that he will play a lot more that all these VN soothsayers are predicting.

I don’t think people will pay for a Brian Maurer autograph but they will for the starting QBs autograph….. like someone said some of these smaller players may take advantage as well by putting products on their page if they have enough followers.

True! During Maurer’s Tiktok breakup no telling what sort of traffic he could generated 😂

There is simply no way I would ever pay a college athlete for any signed merch.
If Trevor Lawrence had been here, you wouldn't dish a little money for a signed jersey or football for the #1 pick?

Guys like Keon, Springer, the incoming freshman PG, they could go on to become NBA all-stars.

I'd dish a little out for the very best or just an absolute favorite VFL (Dobbs, JJ, Grant, Admiral, etc).

This roster? Probably not, as of right now.

It’s funny looking at some of the autographs I’ve gotten over the years, a lot of them never went anywhere after college so they just look like random names. I have Blake Mitchell’s autograph. Doubt any of you remember who that is

Isn't he a used car salesman?

@Glitch You suck. The Beatles are the gold standard. You have not taste in music, period.

They were nothing special. They just happened to be in the right place at the right time. A thousand other one hit wonder bands could've done the same thing had they had the right marketing.

Obligatory

My freshman year at UT, there was a “summer job fair” and I got a job at Cedar Point in Ohio. The Eagles played a concert in Johnson City that summer. A friend and I worked all day Friday then drove to my folks’ house in Kingsport Friday night. The concert was Saturday evening. We left immediately after the concert so we were back at work Sunday morning. Concert was absolutely worth it!

Are the players going to charge children for autographs now?
No, they will charge their parents. If a Billion dollar corporation was using you to make them money while only supplying you with housing, education, food and clothes. It's similar to what the coal mines did in West Virginia in the early-mid 1900's. Every college player should be able to make money.

I grew up with Elvis and Beatles music, and then the 70s and 80s music surpassed all that. I would not put any single Beatles song in my top 100 of all time. So forgettable.

OTOH many Elvis songs are still great songs today.
