Day two on this NIL crap and I’m over it.. don’t blame these guys for trying to get theirs, but my Twitter feed is full of nothing but endorsements and players begging for money.. Parker ball is one of our more active players with this thing.. has he played a snap? If not for his smoking hot mom, would any of us know who he even is? Again, can’t blame these guys for playing the cards they’re dealt, but I imagined these guys making money off of tshirts, Jersey sales, autograph signings, special appearances, etc.. not retweeting every small business in East Tennessee.. interviews this fall are going to sound like a NASCAR interviews..

Until there's some certainty of UT's future in regard to NCAA penalties/bowl bans, we're gonna live off of high upside 3 stars and transfers. Just have to hope that this staff can develop talent. Seems like they did it at UCF...

I'm not sure I totally understand, practically speaking, why recruits would shy away from us because of the bowl bans. I get that it's a stigma/dark cloud over us, but what is the recruit losing? Bowl game exposure? How many players truly improve their draft stock because of the bowl game? How many players opt out of bowls?

If they help us win in the regular season, that will get huge exposure regardless of the bowl game, IMO. Especially if the coaches are smart and sell them on starved-for-winning, make NIL money fan base (see the baseball atmosphere for example). Plus, if the potential bowl ban is a year or two, the recruits will only be 2nd or 3rd year students (RS, true, whatever), when the potential ban expires.

I know the other schools use it as a negative recruiting tool, but I'm just not sure it would play out as bad as perceived.
