We don't have a lot of time slotted for Lake Tahoe because we decided to spend a couple of days in Yosemite on this trip, but I gotta check out the Emerald Bay sites on the way to Lassen...it would be criminal not to.

I wish I was retired so I could go where I want when I want..but still have nine long years till that happens.. I hope my health is still as decent as it is now.

that was the first time I got really really butt hurt about a recruiting loss.

Again, the firings aren’t my complaint. But the detailed airing of dirty laundry was ridiculous and served no purpose. Of course it wasn’t a SMU situation. She made it sound awful though and made things worse. She could have done that with the NCAA. She didn’t manage timing nor communication like a grown up executive imo.

How much “detail” are we talking? Called for more than “he gone and HE gone for cause!” We don’t have actual details. Thought she handled it with class and professionalism.

Did your family make it home safe? So sorry they had to go through all this.

No they haven’t yet. The tow truck company never showed up. So they waited 5 hours for no reason #ThanksUSAARoadSideAssistsance (Piece of crap)

So now they had their mothers friend pick them up and the mothers friend is going to let them stay at his place which is 2 hours away. Still don’t know what we are going to do about the car but I’m pretty pissed off right now at this whole situation.

I’m just now catching up. Hate that I missed this earlier. I’m north of ATL about 40 miles (maybe?) from Hoschton. I’ll check back in the morning and see what the latest is. Glad they have a place to stay.

Yes, it would have been really nice if everyone inside the AD was working together to do what was best for Tennessee. Would have been even better if PF would have just fired JP and retired so we could have moved on quickly. But none of that happened. So there were two choices. Keep PF and JP and try to cover up what had been revealed. Or take extreme measures to take the power away from PF's camp. I don't like either choice, but can honestly say I am glad I am not facing another season with JP as coach.

While I do believe PF loves the university, I do believe we are in better hands with our new AD and coach. Hoping the purge will allow all the parties involved to start pulling in the same direction for a change, and fans can be patient with the process. UT football has been the brunt of jokes for way too long, and I’m ready to see signs of competence at all levels.

We are going to go back to Yosemite and give it more time in a couple of years, but it was just too close to where we are flying into, and too spectacular to not at least give it a couple of days.

Well tow truck just got to my wife and the tow company is trying to get USAA to pay for the vehicle to get towed all the way to North Carolina for free.

While I do believe PF loves the university, I do believe we are in better hands with our new AD and coach. Hoping the purge will allow all the parties involved to start pulling in the same direction for a change, and fans can be patient with the process. UT football has been the brunt of jokes for way too long, and I’m ready to see signs of competence at all levels.

Was a horrible run of hurt. Started with Hunter Johnson, then Tee. Then Butch falls back off of Trevor for a 3 star Fields, who rises to a top 5 recruit only to lose him as well. *Sigh*

I was trying to respond to your post yesterday about your family trying to make it to NC again and my phone died. I was worried they would break down again, and was trying to tell you to tell them to turn around and go back to ATL airport and get the rental. I hope they finally made it home.
