Great monument. These “Rich White Slaveholders” signed their death warrants that day. Many stood side by side with everyday farmers and small business owners fighting for an ideal much larger than many can imagine today. It was an extreme sacrifice and the exact opposite of the class warfare we experience today. Proud to be a descendant of these great men.

Landed some damn good assistants out of that “shallow pool” and Heupel is the best offensive mind we’ve employed since Kiffin…and before that, Dickey. Traded some talented bad actors for football players…necessary step for advancing the program. Pruitt and Fulmer set all this in motion…not the PC. Boyd and Plowman had to sift through it for something to salvage. Did so in a very adult and admirable fashion.

That’s the board narrative which ignores how it could have been done better mitigating the unnecessarily negative way recruits, coaches and development organizations view UT.

Recruits were being told by opposing HC’s that we were going to be on sanctions for the Title IX lawsuit. It’s called recruiting. When they say good things about you, you need to reevaluate.

Googled it and read it for free. Pay wall may have slapped down when shared. I’d Google either of the subjects…the story’s all over the place! Deadspin released the recording of Nichols phone call complaining about Taylor and this took off.

Just read it. Honestly, it’s kind of a bad look for everyone involved. Bet the Mendehlson guy loses some money over this. And bet espn employees are more careful about what they’re saying when they have company equipment laying around.

I think we can all agree that the reversion back to 3 yards and a cloud of dust was a bad move. Paying players is necessary now. Being dumb is not. Fulmer made a bad hire, he wasnt a great or good AD.
