She had to do something extreme and swiftly because PF had a lot of support in the AD and with boosters that would have literally laid down the program for loyalty to him. Guessing there was no one doubting this. It's easy to sit back and say someone should not have done what they did because here's the negative consequences of that. Sometimes there is just not a good choice. Things behind the scenes were a disaster waiting on an explosion because the ones against PF and JP were willing to destroy the program to get them out. She effectively went public before they could and took control away from all of them. Yes, we are going to have to deal with the consequences. That’s the board narrative which ignores how it could have been done better mitigating the unnecessarily negative way recruits, coaches and development organizations view UT.
Happy 4th you morans. Be safe

While I do believe PF loves the university, I do believe we are in better hands with our new AD and coach. Hoping the purge will allow all the parties involved to start pulling in the same direction for a change, and fans can be patient with the process. UT football has been the brunt of jokes for way too long, and I’m ready to see signs of competence at all levels.

That whole dunking them in water thing is enough to make me hurl.In the last 40 seconds...after eating 72 dogs and buns...he put down another 4 more just to break his own record. That's a bun + dog...fully swallowed...every 10 seconds...WITH 72 ALREADY INSIDE HIM

It just proves that not even THEY believe all the crap they’re slinging.Just read it. Honestly, it’s kind of a bad look for everyone involved. Bet the Mendehlson guy loses some money over this. And bet espn employees are more careful about what they’re saying when they have company equipment laying around.
Saw this over on 247 and now on the FF.
Great summary of all the roster moves this year. So much to keep up with, of all the years this year we definitely need a summary. It's been a clusterwhirlwind

It was also important he hire an offensive coach and someone that will create a more fun culture to change the vibes. He did that tooI’ve thought a lot about DWs hire of CJH from the perspective of a hiring manager. When hiring someone the main two factors I consider is performance and trust. Trust is a very close second to me, but in DWs case it may be first considering the NCAA situation, admin situation, boosters, etc. I expect that the two of them will be hip to hip the next 2-3 years navigating through these land mines, but the hire gives me encouragement when you think of it this way.
