I know it’s been said time and again, but the staff deserves a ton of credit for going out and getting Hadden, Turnage, and Mouhan. Critical depth at positions that had none.

That Braves lineup is horrible. The Braves need new front office management. They have been hurt by bad signings and trades. They should have improved last trade deadline and they did nothing.

Disagree. The Braves took the eventual MLB champs to the wire in 7 games just last year. They’ve just had terrible luck this season with injuries. Acuna, Ynoa, Davidson, D’Arnaud, Jackson, Touki, Soroka. All guys they would have relied on. Add in the Ozuna debacle and Fried also having injury issues … not much you can do. They have good depth in the pipeline too, but guys just aren’t ready.

Individually, I like all our recruits and think they match what CJH wants to do. But, in the aggregate, agree class doesn’t look that inspiring, especially compared to other SEC programs. Gotta hope that the sum will be greater than the parts I guess.

Kind of what I was saying. I don't think this class will be inspiring on paper. People say we'll be top 20, which is fine until you compare where we are based on other SEC teams. But my whole point is we'll need to rely more on kids getting coached up. Hopefully this staff can do that. I'd rather have lower ranked kids that get coached up than higher ranked kids that never see any development. When was the last time we saw significant player development? I honestly don't remember. Signing 5* rated players doesn't mean much if you can't get the potential out of them.

It's annoying. Other teams have private owners who spent what they needed to to be competitive. Atlanta is the only team that used the pandemic BS to kill their payroll as much as they did. I dont think they will ever win one until LM sells the team

Weak parenting resume is weak.


Yeah talking book psychology and book learning is one thing. Actual application of parenting is much different. Every kid is a little different and there is no blanket parenting protocol that works the same for each of them. Takes being involved and know your children. We have two in public magnet and one in private. Have to take each one as they grow and develop and help them form their own personalities.
