It’s the closest comparison I can think of when describing to people what makes SEC football culture special. Agree it’s not as goo is has European soccer, but the passion and pageantry is special.

Yes, it goes beyond what we see here because there are towns/areas of London/Liverpool/Manchester that live and die with their teams success and have for 100 years.

And being in the EPL impacts the local economy of their areas…talk about pressure.

Liberty Media is part of the problem though, they did do that yes but they are also 20 mil under the payroll of where they were last year. I know AA has been too patient with prospects and I've harped on that for awhile but I've also wondered how much LM not giving him a better payroll has hurt him and his ability to make bigger trades or FA signings.

Agree. I think that is a credit to the Braves front office. They’ve been doing more with less. It’s exactly why they’re stingy on the free agent market and are conservative with their draft picks, as well as parting with their prospects.
