Nip is a racial slur? Man, what isn't a racial slur?

To answer my own question, Germ would have been a perfect slur for Germans during the WW. How do all these other random words get turned into slurs and stricken from acceptable speech, but a slur that basically wrote itself never got adopted?

I never understood Nip as a racial slur when they used to be called Nipponese. I guess shortening it mad it offensive.

What a time that was to watch UT football. Sure everyone brings up 1998, but to witness the build up to that was exciting.

They are saying it will be an unsportsmanlike penalty if you do the upside down horns during the game. It's like other teams doing the Gator chomp. They are saying it's taunting.

So is this taunting now too?

I’d be offended by having a little e by my university’s name to distinguish between another university.

Only thing I don't get is how this different than the rule as it has been. For some time their stance has been if it's toward an opposing player/bench, then it may be a penalty. If done toward the stands, then not. Same thing they said this year.

Feels like a stern parental reminder to me. Aaand it will probably backfire and there will be more horns than before lol.

Still remember when Baylor suddenly did that midseason out of nowhere due to so many QB injuries. Just pure wildcat and they still rocked defenses.
