Why is there such a pride to stay in SEC? Just because they we are a founding member isn’t a good reason. The only reason we stay is for the money, however there is no doubt our path to becoming a great program would be way easier in the ACC. Isn’t the whole point of football winning games and having a chance at the title game?

I don't want to win 8-11 games annually playing inferior opponents. I want UT to play the most elite teams. When we do win 8-11+ games in the SEC, there will be absolutely 0 question that we deserved it.

Most people want to achieve the highest level of success. The SEC is the only place to do that in college football.

Rivalries. I like the ones we have, that have existed for decades. To be the best, you play the best, and the best are in the SEC. We wouldn't become a great program in the ACC.

Lol. Love all the hate people are spewing. Why don’t we look at our record since we fired Fulmer? Yeah that’s add two more good teams and see how that helps us. We have been worse than SC. And news flash, we have been massive losers. I’m tired of being embarrassed. I don’t really care what conference we are in, I just want to win. I have not been to Neyland in a few years because it is not enjoyable watching our team get the crap kicked out of it every weekend.

Give me your honest answer.

When do you see us winning more than 8 games when more teams start joining? We haven’t consistently done that on 15+ years and your confident we are going to do that in a much tougher conference in the future? Nah not buying it

Buckle up for another 15 years of futility while people say our turnaround is "just around the corner" and we're getting blown out by new SEC member Ohio State.

And when is the last time that has happened? We haven’t even been to the championship game since 2007. And we think adding more good teams will help us get there? How will you like watching playing elite teams week in and out and getting our faces smeared? That’s fun?

Horrible take... we are ingrained in SEC tradition. We belong nowhere else. Could you imagine getting hyped up to play wake forest? We have been down but I want to try and beat UGA, Bama and UF not run from them. We will get back too. I think you should cheer on a different orange such as Syracuse.

When I started really caring about Tennessee football circa 2007 it was totally conceivable that we'd catch and surpass Bama in head-to-head wins in my lifetime and now that is never going to happen. We've been dragged up and down the field by a supposed rival and been helpless to do anything about it, and now we're going to admit two more programs that are way out of our league so we can get smacked around by all new opponents. Oh, goody!

TN would never leave the SEC for the ACC. The brass would go 0-12 for the cash as apposed to winning in another conference albeit the ACC or the sunbelt.

Fan attendance and fan support used to be the foremost directive in decision making. With the huge TV revenue sharing from the SEC, the individual fan has become less significant to almost insignificant when it comes to influence on decision making. Even significant boosters have lost their influence. Money, as usual, rules the day. The biggest revenue source will be the most influential voice.

Yes. We've done it before, we'll do it again. 8 games+ means nothing if you're playing inferior opponents.
