There has been very little wokeness so far. Covid has had some impact, but not awful so far. I agree it is not the same as it normally is. I am still going to watch as much as I can, cheer for our athletes who have worked their asses off for years, and enjoy it.

For me the wokeness was imprinted pretty heavily on the moments leading up to the Olympics and is the reason I won’t watch. I hate it too because I’m an Olympics junkie.

Also, we need to band together now to push for the Beijing Winter Olympics to either be moved or we need to boycott. This is no small deal.

Do you have some kind of statistic that shows what percentage of American schools have banned dodgeball?

Like, real data. Not just some articles talking about a few states or school districts?

My first reaction is that it’s way more likely most schools have prohibited it from being mandatory to participate. That some schools (low percentage) banned it. With the majority just being apathetic in general and probably never included it in the PE curriculum anyway since it’s pretty niche, not very rigorous and doesn’t really promote much teamwork like other alternatives.
