Someone was trying to equate a golfer, Tiger, coming back from an injury to Biles' situation. Not really the same as Biles isn't coming back from an injury.

Golfers not being mentally focused, having a moment of anxiety, or lack of confidence in the middle of a round don't run the same risks as gymnasts. A golfer having confidence issues might what...pull a few drives? Shank some irons? Hit it in the sand or water? Compare that to a gymnast. What could happen when their form is off? Bad landing or missed landing leading to broken bones or head injury? The risks are far more severe.

The routines she's doing supposedly aren't the standard gymnast stuff. She's doing things no gymnast has attempted according to everything I've read. She probably was feeling off already, had the bad routine, was fortunate she didn't injury herself when she was obviously off, and then decided to step down after giving it a go. People are immediately assuming she didn't even try before stepping down.

I, for one, would never equate gymnastics to golf. My point was that hardly any stunt a gymnast does in a Olympic competition is easy...thus, there is risk to injury in all routines. My only question was why not have a fallback plan in case this very thing happened, in which she wasn’t 100% comfortable?

My guess:

QB: Bailey/Milton
RB: Evans
WR: Hyatt
WR: Payton
WR: Jones
TE: Fant
OL: Davis
OL: Mays
OL: Mays
OL: Carvin
OL: Wright

DL: Young
DL: Solomon
DL: Simmons
DL: Baron
LB: Beasley
LB: Banks
DB: Slaughter
DB: Taylor
DB: Turnage
DB: Flowers
DB: Tank
Small over Evans and Mitchell over Beasley to start the year.

I just got this feeling that HB15 is gonna be the next Peyton and he and Heup are going to rescue our program

Nice. My expectations are more modest, but positive as well. I have a feeling Heup will bring fun and stability to the program and have us be a program that regularly wins 7 - 9 ball games and that is competitive and nationally respectable. I'm optimistic he can have a solid 6 to 8 year run here.

Frankly, to me, that would be "rescuing our program."

Ok...but she is still a undependable, unreliable quitter.

Except for every other moment in her career. For a guy who openly admits to lots of mistakes in life you sure are harsh on others at times. She has accomplished so much that she is an all time great but broken confidence in one competition negates all that including the Rio Olympics she dominated in.

Not everything is so black and white....she can make the decision to pull out of this competition while still being one of the all time talented clutch performers in the sport.

One can feel sorry for someone and have an understanding of what they are going through, AND still criticize them for decisions.
