If you are going to be a college, pro, or Olympic athlete then you have to be mentally strong enough to not worry about people that criticize you or praise you…That’s the thing, none of us have any sort of understanding of what she’s going through. To pretend otherwise is pretty ridiculous for 99.9% of the population.
Edit: If people want to criticize I don’t really care, and I doubt she really does outside of a few people. I personally am not going to make any harsh judgments based on stuff I have no clue about, otherwise I’m no better than skip bayless.
Drove the whole loop and loved every bit of it..the western part from a little past Telluride to Cortez is not truly spectacular, but it is a beautiful drive none the less.I agree about BC. It doesn’t get talked about nearly enough.
Our stay near MV was also in Dolores.
The San Juan Scenic Skyway is a 235 mile loop. I wasn’t really impressed with the part we drove on the western side of it. The Million Dollar Highway is only a 25 mile stretch on the east side of it, from Ouray to Silverton. That part was wow.
Craig Fitzgerald ended up a bad investment considering the returns. If you look at how our defensive personnel looks and how this staff has recruited, we are going to play a lot of guys. With the offense going fast, we will use multiple players going even 3 deep to keep the defense fresh. Bend, but don’t break. Aggressive and force turn overs.
Key is strength and conditioning. We have struggled in S&C during the last two years of Butch and under Pruitt. Hopefully CJH has helped improve the teams conditioning. We have been the weaker team in the second half of most games for the last 5 years, both physically and mentally.
Whatever you want to say about it, what she just did is the polar opposite of inspirational.Except for every other moment in her career. For a guy who openly admits to lots of mistakes in life you sure are harsh on others at times. She has accomplished so much that she is an all time great but broken confidence in one competition negates all that including the Rio Olympics she dominated in.
Not everything is so black and white....she can make the decision to pull out of this competition while still being one of the all time talented clutch performers in the sport.
Banks can’t stay healthy and had a bag man coaching him last year. No one blitzes as violently as him and Banks has a speed advantage over Mitchell. If he learns the position, I think he is better than Mitchell.
So, to (hopefully) start a new line of conversation: fall camp starts in six days.
Which battle are YOU most looking forward to seeing??
-Which QB grabs the playbook by the sack, takes control and starts v. BGSU??
-Does one RB do enough to be named the full-time starter, or is it RB by committee all year??
-It's almost a given that Hyatt and Jones are the top 2. Who separates, claiming the 3rd WR spot??
-Could we actually see the unthinkable, and TEs get used more in CJH's offense?? Do we have a reliable "safety valve" TE??
-The OL is gonna be musical chairs. How does it shake out for week 1?? Is Dayne Davis our starting LT v. BGSU??
-Tyler Baron, DaJon Terry, Elijah Simmons and ?? What's our DL rotation gonna look like??
-I have no idea which LBs start game one. Mohan, Mitchell, Garland, Banks, Joseph, Willis.....someone help me out here??
-Are the CBs still Taylor/Burrell, or does Hadden/Turnage take their place?? How's that gonna shake out??
One can feel sorry for someone and have an understanding of what they are going through, AND still criticize them for decisions.
