What makes you look foolish is all the experts that say it's a real phenomenon. What reason would she have for faking it and missing the entire Olympics she's spent the last 4 years training for? She's the best gymnast in the world. Hands down. When healthy, she does things no other gymnast can. If she were currently capable, do you honestly think she'd throw it all away. It's not like she's never performed on this stage. She has. She won the gold in the all around in 2016. And when completely healthy, she's an even better gymnast now than she was then.

Sounds a lot like "happy wife happy life." It's crazy to me that some self professing feminists proudly tout that saying. It basically means, "women are so petty that if you don't make them happy they'll make sure you're miserable." And some women say "yep that's right! But don't you dare stereotype us as petty and emotional!"

My parents were happily married. My dad became a master of the "yes dear" art. My mom only pushed for things that really mattered, and he knew that, and his goal was to make her happy. The real goal of any marriage is to make your partner happy.
