I personally cannot imagine how difficult it must be to be an exceptional athlete in high school but have your dreams crushed by even more exceptional athletes. I'm sure it's an emotional struggle, but find a way to contribute to winning. You can support your team until it is the right time to move along, or put in your time and grow. IMO

Should be this one:

Don't you think they're trying to get their best 5 lineman on the field? I wonder if Calbert's injury made Mays being at right tackle a necessity.
Yes I do…. I don’t think that’s the best strategy, as proved by the last coaches.

Cade is one of the best guards in the country, but NOT one of the best tackles. That was proven last year and at UGA. Why put him at Tackle? See what happened to Trey Smith. Moving to tackle cost him millions. Had he just stayed at RG he could have been drafted much higher.

Also, I’ve seen how an elite guard can help a center and tackle be better, but an elite tackle doesn’t make a guard better.

I see this as a bad move. I hope Kevin speaks up and tells these coaches what everyone else already knows

Think someone said they wanted to know with 2 weeks to practice and hoped to keep it a secret until the first game but doubted that could happen here. Don't quote me though because I have read a lot lol.

They may not officially announce it but they'll know. I think they know how they want it to go and are looking for confirmation in scrimmage. If somebody comes on strong late, they might shift their thinking. By all indications, they want to win more than they want to be right-- a refreshing concept not seen last year.

And now, for everyone's favorite time of the year!
SEC Coaches Talk Anonymously About Conference Foes for 2021

So our offense could be good eventually if we had talent but our defense is gonna suck because Alabama stole toots and we have no lbs. That said, the person said get ready on how bad the defense would be -- did they not see last year's defense? It literally could not get worse. The year before they were good but last year they were bottom of the NCAA.

As bad as our defense was, it wasn't as bad as Florida's and nowhere near Ole Miss, and yet you don't hear any talk about that. Oh no! We lost one player so we're going to be worse! Except that we added multiple players, added the GOAT DL coach, and actually have a coach at LB now. Keep dreaming

Tray did not lose a penny moving to tackle. His medical history cost him millions which he will make up when he sings his second contract. As far as Cade, he can play either tackle or either guard equally as well. He will be just fine if he really wants to play to his potential. Plus, the coaches want the best offensive line on the field. They want to win as much or more than any fan. They livelihood depends on it, where, we not be very happy fans when Tennessee loses, but we don't get fired because Tennessee loses. They do.

So his sheltered world has caused his maturity not to catch up with his age, and thus he is an adult that is still behaving like a kid.

Sorry I think kids should be taught that there are consequences for their actions. That doesn't mean you dislike them as a person or are wishing for the earth to swallow them whole. It just means we should be held accountable for what we do. Life is better that way. Now not only are kids not being held accountable, they keep getting excused until they decide they are an adult?
I agree with this.

I think Fulmer bought into the pressure placed on him from Haslamdia. Hamilton was the straw that broke the back

I don't think Fulmer had many choices. By the time he arrived we'd already burnt through several options. That said, what I don't understand about Fulmer is why he chose to go down with Pruitt. He could've easily walked away unscathed from all of that. He was always a temp in the position but there was no reason to go down with the ship,

You can only ride that out so long. You gave yourself kid status until 26, but lived as an adult way before that. Thankfully for those in your command. If a bad decision had cost your OTHER kids, would you have hid behind a not fully developed brain force field?

Well now you are talking about things you don’t know about. “Thankfully for those in your command” what a statement by you, although I wouldn’t expect anything less.

I was mature enough to make decisions as an Infantry Officer and I knew my Military Tactics and how to take care of my guys, but that doesn’t mean I was fully “mature” so maybe what @SweetasSoda said about it being more of a maturity thing is true. 😂

Anyways, keep on keeping on Butchna.
