It was surprising Maurer stayed after spring. Injuries, inconsistency and decisionmaking have been issues for a while. Good for him for competing and no reason not to wish him well, whatever he decides is the best path. The writing's been on the wall for a while, and his growing frustration isn't helping anyone.
I think it’s funny he showed up to practice but coaches said nope…. That sends a strong message

It's a weird one. AK did not have all that much of a career here, all things considered. No one ever would have thought to put him up there if he hadn't turned into the NFL player that he is.

But I get it. Have to move the program forward and stop living so much in the past. That is someone who has brand recognition in 2021.
I think it's brilliant. Like you said move forward. AK is always saying positive things about Tennessee, and let's not forget coming to the spring game and signing autographs. And he is a current NFL superstar the recruits love.

Asked 247 mods of their position ranking so far (based on starters).

Bob_Vols, not a mod, but respected poster/insider(?):
1. OL
2. DL
3. WR
4. RB
5. QB
6. DB
7. LB
8. TE

Callahan did tiers:
Best: WR, OL, DL
Middle of the pack: RB, DB, LB
Works in progress: QB, TE
It’s a line of scrimmage league... 15-0

He can vote.
He can be drafted.
He can die for his country if serving in the military.

Adult by age.

Kid by his actions most likely.
Just a personal rant, but I still think it's beyond stupid that at 18, our country says it is okay for you to go to war, but not drink alcohol. If we're going to say 18 makes you an adult, then you should have all the rights of an adult, IMO.
