Could our OL really be better after losing Trey, Kennedy, Wanya and JJ from last year?

No *but*... our OL was out of sync ALL last season. I don't know what the issue was but they were. Even before Trey got injured they just weren't in tune with one another and remember Trey had a down year because he was injured. So while I don't think we can match the talent loss, a healthy OL that can work together can be better than one that isn't healthy or in sync. There's also the matter of QB making things easier for the OL and we all know JG's biggest issue is he had to write a thesis in his head before he could make a decision on getting rid of the ball.

As to what? I'm arguing they were much better than some make them out to be.

Were they, in fact, worse than 7th in the SEC last year? Guess that's possible, opinions being what they are, but they sure as heck weren't "last in the NCAA" as some earlier said. That's insane. If you want to disagree, go ahead.

I mean you can say that but we still have an SEC schedule. We're not changing conferences and in fact we're adding even more talent to compete against. Our defense could NOT line up 2 years in a row. That is what's insane.

I have another observation. The videos that come out after practice all the position groups seem to be practicing fast in their drills. Some of the videos from Pruitt’s sometimes would put me to sleep at how slow everyone was on those videos. I think I even made a comment on how boring they were. It probably won’t mean anything towards to win column, but it’s sure more enjoyable to watch and pumps me up. I hope the players feel the same way.
Also didn't have audio.

It’s crazy because I went to the mizzou game and watched our line steam roll the mizzou dline all game.. I thought we had for sure turned a corner.

That game we looked good. I think whatever else was going on last year, our culture was toxic. I hope that with a regime change we will see a different attitude. Butch had a few teams that were short on talent but long on fight that I enjoyed watching. Without knowing where our talent truly is I'd take something like that if that's where we truly are. I think we can do a tad better but we don't have much room error unless Hooker or Milton or another key player becomes a breakout national star.

Not to dwell on the players that we lost, but I'd have been interested in what this staff could have done in developing Key Lawrence, Wanya Morris, Toot, and Crouch. The last staff was all about recruiting, no real teachers. This staff seems to have some guys that can teach. I think all 4 of those players would look a lot different being taught by this staff. JMO.

I’m hopeful, but we thought we had some real coaches and not band geeks before.

The competition at QB is a good pace setting story for fall camp. One thing is for sure, whomever wins the job will have significant starting experience. No greenhorn at QB for the Vols this year.
This is true. All I know is I'm excited for footballs regardless of whomstsoever wins the job.
