Good morning to all. This has probably been posted sometime in the last 8 months, but Basilio linked it on his blog this morning so I thought I'd share this video of highlights of the last time a Heupel offense played Florida. Enjoy:

Not to nitpick...but Heupel was at UCF in 18.

That is the question though isn't it? Can Heupel and staff coach desire, fortitude and ability into this team, and coach the cancerous rotting quit and laziness that has infected the Volunteer program for so long out of them...and how fast can he do it?

I want to believe, but like Herbstreit said, are they just going to lay down and quit when they get kicked in the face, or are they are they going to continue to fight matter no matter what adversity is thrown at them? That is the essence of what we used to be about, but it has been a long time since they consistently gave their all as a team..

I hope they bring that essence back...if they do I will be happy.
If they believe the coaches will put them in a position to succeed and win, I think they will keep fighting. I think that's what has been missing for a long time.

As to what? I'm arguing they were much better than some make them out to be.

Were they, in fact, worse than 7th in the SEC last year? Guess that's possible, opinions being what they are, but they sure as heck weren't "last in the NCAA" as some earlier said. That's insane. If you want to disagree, go ahead.

I was agreeing with you. Not disagreeing

UPDATE:

Hey guys, I wanted to thank everyone here who had given towards a new vehicle after my wife’s car was totaled sitting in front of our house. I will do a proper video thank you soon. But I’m putting in 13 hour days right now and just kind of tired lol.

I don’t have exact numbers, but Volnation, thanks to @Bassmaster_Vol for starting the effort and @Devo182 for the GoFundMe has raised an amazing $8,000-$9,000!!! I don’t have access to the precise numbers yet, but can share that in the future.

I will be driving by the Ferrari dealership tomorrow… but not stopping. I DO hope to stop by the Toyota dealership this week for a quality Pre-owned that should last us for years to come.

Much love my friends!
Much love back! 🧡😘👏👏👏

Josh Heupel: Great day inside of Neyland Stadium. Proud of a lot of the things that we did. Played with great effort, made tackles in space. Didn't string it together the way we need to, but we saw glimpses.

Josh Heupel on Brian Maurer: We had a conversation with him earlier this week. We'll have another conversation with him soon.

Josh Heupel says all the quarterbacks did a good job in taking care of the football and running the offense.

'It was pretty solid, but we didn't string things together the way we wanted to. It's all 11 guys.' [offense]

Josh Heupel on the physicality: I liked the attitude and the effort. That's been one of the positives through camp. Today, the defensive side of the football was physical and they tackled well.

Josh Heupel says the offense went with the tempo they wanted 'at times' today....'Collectively as a whole the way we operate as an offense, we did a good job.'

Good lord move on old man.

I actually think this is the role he should have been filling the whole time. Be a mascot, effectively. Be a walking embodiment of Tennessee's last truly dominant era. Stay out of the C-suites, stay on the practice field. Stay on the sidelines. Basically whatever the hell Matthew McConaughey has been doing with Texas the last few years, do that.

I would agree to an extent but he better not meddle in one thing. He’s done. He caused a lot of damage at the end.
