the only guy i don't want starting will probably start - so that's Hooker.

I would rather it be Milton or Bailey.

Hooker doesn't seem like he has it, but if the coaches feel differently then I guess I will be fine. lol
Hooker is pretty good. I think we'll see all 3 of them at some point early in the season.

Man, I had forgotten what a clown show that 2017 Florida team was. Yet another missed opportunity for us to beat them.

Josh Heupel: Great day inside of Neyland Stadium. Proud of a lot of the things that we did. Played with great effort, made tackles in space. Didn't string it together the way we need to, but we saw glimpses.

Josh Heupel on Brian Maurer: We had a conversation with him earlier this week. We'll have another conversation with him soon.

Josh Heupel says all the quarterbacks did a good job in taking care of the football and running the offense.

'It was pretty solid, but we didn't string things together the way we wanted to. It's all 11 guys.' [offense]

Josh Heupel on the physicality: I liked the attitude and the effort. That's been one of the positives through camp. Today, the defensive side of the football was physical and they tackled well.

Josh Heupel says the offense went with the tempo they wanted 'at times' today....'Collectively as a whole the way we operate as an offense, we did a good job.'

"Didn't string it together the way we need to" seems like a somewhat ominous euphemism for a poor offensive showing.

Obviously it’s early in camp and it’s still a work in progress. Sounds like chemistry, timing and miscommunication were the primary problem for the offense today. Seemed a little disappointed in offensive line’s inability to establish line of scrimmage. Defensive side had a solid day both on the line of scrimmage and tackling.

That's precisely how I came to believe that Hooker is QB1. I didn't give him a chance at winning the position, completely discounted his abilities, and therefore he will almost certainly prove me wrong.

If I ever name a winner, bet the opposite way for assured victory. Can't pick a horse, can't pick a dog, and can't pick QB1.
