This was a great win, but it galls me to this day that we let a receiver get behind our defense with 10 seconds left when they were 47 yards out. It's one thing to make a Hail Mary jump ball catch, but for a defense to let someone run past them when it is the only thing that can beat you is just terrible coaching. And then we did it again a year later in the Swamp!
Who was our secondary coach then…..

Here are the facts: we know that Joe Milton in game three last year had a heavily wrapped thumb so I decided to look at his first two game averages:

Joe was 23.5- 36.5 for 64% 265 yards .5 TD 0 int
Joe ran for 10-55.5 yards 5.55 ypc .5 TDs
After the injury, he didn’t really run the ball any more.
min his two games….he completed a higher % of passes and averaged more yards per carry than Josh Dobbs…. He also averaged more rushing yards per game than Dobbs in every besides Dobbs senior season when he averaged 63 yards per game….
Joe Milton may be a better runner than most are giving him credit for bc it is obvious the thumb injury really hindered him last season.
Thanks, Joe! I mean Beast

I just want to win….. started out really hoping that it would be Bailey…… then wanted Hype to fix Milton or Hooker instead bc they have much more athletic ability….. now it is looking like it will be Milton……. Time to get on board with Joe, Smyrna Vol.

PVT Warren Glinn Harding Davault enlisted in the US Army at Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia on November 14, 1942. Tragically, he was killed in action fighting in the Battle of Hurtgen Forest on November 20, 1944. Even more tragically, his remains were never recovered. His remains, along with remains from other soldiers were eventually interred at Ardennes American Cemetery in Belgium in 1951. At that time, none of these remains were able to be identified. About a year and a half ago, My wife got a letter requesting a DNA sample to assist with potentially identifying remains. Her and her brother sent the samples. Subsequently, through the tireless efforts of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), using the DNA, other evidence and dental and anthropological evidence and testing at the Andrew Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska, PVT Harding's remains were identified. Today, I had the unbelievable honor of attending his memorial service and burial at his hometown cemetery in Dayton, Tennessee. I do not mind telling you that I was moved to tears witnessing this hero, this patriot, this soldier, being honored by his hometown and his remaining family. The unit he served with sent soldiers from Fort Carson, Colorado and he was buried with full military honors. It was such a moving and uplifting experience and an honor that I will never be able to repeat. I would respectfully ask my friends and family to please honor this great man. I would respectfully ask everyone to please remember this great man. I would ask everyone to please rejoice that this great man, this soldier, this hero is finally able to come home. He made the ultimate sacrifice for you and me. He did it willingly because he felt it was the right thing to do. He did it because he loved his country and wanted to keep it safe for you and me. Please remember him.

Done my friend. My heart is happy for the family to have closure. God bless and our prayers are with you.

I have reason to believe my FIL was likely in these same battles. He was inducted through Ft. Ogletharpe during a similar time period and fought there as he held a Bronze Star from the Ardennes campaign. He was captured in that timeframe and was listed as POW/MIA for 15 months before being freed from a German prison camp by the Russians. The battles and imprisonment must have been brutal to experience as he suffered PTSD until the day he passed away.

RIP PVT Warren Glinn Harding Default. We salute and thank you.

Thanks for the research, but we can't assume one's rushing stats in the Big 10 will continue in the SEC. Too much speed on defense. IMO

I hope he is Cam Newtonish, but practice videos are all we have to go on. I would say we should wait a little longer even than the Pitt game.

I think he will look good against BG and I know a lot of fans will be so enamored with him for winning 42-7. I’m not saying don’t be excited, I’ve just seen us get so excited and hyped up just to be let down the following week.

Watching the ‘02 UT vs Wyoming game on YouTube.. it’s nice to hear the announcers refer to UT as WRU several times
Also just saw rashad baker completely destroy a WR for Wyoming.. the announcers said something like, “that’s the type of hit that’ll have him thinking that maybe he should’ve played a different sport”… good times
One of the hottest games I have ever been to in my life. People were passing out in the stands.
