I’ve never given him that.. I hear they can react in different ways.. i may get some to put up for late nights like these though. I gave him this cold/cough stuff that usually knocks him out, but nothing.. also cranked a humidifier up, gave him an extra pillow to keep his head even more elevated, used Vicks, used Flonase, turned the air down.. I’m just along for the ride at this point I think

Seems like we did this drill for four years straight. It just sucks. Such a helpless feeling. Prop him up, Benadryl, a long shower, a popsicle. Kids rebound so quick, much stronger than us. Good luck and prayers for the little buddy. Hang in there.

I got desperate enough to try the Vicks on the soles of the feet covered with socks on my daughter one night. She quit coughing, but not sure which of the ten things I had tried actually worked.

Have you every sliced up an onion and put some of the slices on his bare feet and then put socks on him? I know it sounds crazy, but I've done it for my kids when they've had similar symptoms and more often than not it's worked and at least helped them get some rest.
Hmmm...had not heard about that.

Benadryl is the fastest antihistamine.
Zyrtec is really good too…

My mom used to swear by putting the Vicks on the bottom of the feet as well.

My little six year old is up coughing his head off from allergy congestion/drainage and I’ve done everything I can think to do… drives me nuts when he feels bad and can’t sleep.
Cold sock treatment always worked for me daughter when she was young. We were not into giving her over the counter medication when she was younger, preferring to let her immune system kick in. Cold Sock Treatment
