Last years roster was not a 3-7 roster. I think team chemistry this year could be a major factor in separating this roster from that abomination we saw last year.
The changes in first half UGA to second half UGA, and first half KY to second half KY, very clearly showed a much more talented team that had simply quit due to lack of belief in coaches and JG. They were easily good enough to win, they just quit fighting when it was clear Pruitt had no offense and no clue how to get one.
I don't care about stringing a sentence on a message board. My friend I hv 2 degrees. As far as morons. It's beyond me the things that are said on here about the entire process of building a program from coaching to recruiting. I've been around and involve for over 15 yrs so I've seen more corrupt shyt from UT to USC dealing with coaches, kids, boosters, and university admins
Bruce Pearl screwed himself by committing a major violation in an attempt to cover up a minor violation. People need to get that straight and stop trying to blame the university just because they liked Bruce. We did not handle the Bruce Pearl situation well at all….. Any other school in America and he would have still been our coach with no penalties.
Compared to other schools defending their coaches against far worse violations (and succeeding), your point kind of falls flat. His crimes were incredibly petty compared to what other schools fight the ncaa over and get away with.Bruce Pearl screwed himself by committing a major violation in an attempt to cover up a minor violation. With each of Pruitt’s classes, there were a handful of blue chippers and then a HUGE drop off. He did nothing in that mid tier recruiting-wise, and he never landed anything close to a marquee name at DB (which was supposed to be his bread and butter). Everyone knows the program brand has taken a hit each year we’ve sucked, but all things considered, Pruitt’s recruiting was still mediocre at best.
In fact, everything about him was mediocre at best. In most areas he flat out sucked. Yes, he could walk into an already stacked locker room and make hay as DC. I’ll give him that. But he could not build worth a $hį7, his coaching personnel choices were outright stupid, and he was in wayyyy over his head. I would not be shocked to see him walk in as DC and win another NC somewhere that’s already got it going on. I would be shocked to see him be anything more than mediocre as an HC, and in fact, I would be shocked to see him be part of a successful rebuild as anything higher than a position coach.
The Georgia State loss was inexcusable. A lot of things in year three were inexcusable. The program was trending in an even worse direction under Pruitt (I did not think that would even be possible), and there is nothing to suggest that he would have even been successful here had they given him a decade to do it.
again you’re not going to get those premier Dbs until you show the ability to get the real guys upfront and prove the ability to produce draft picks. Why in the hell as a 5* Db would you go to UT past 2011? Exactly you wouldn’t because there’s absolutely no reason too. So elite recruiter or not nobody is coming here but a few who trusted CJP based on reputation. Again the UT brand is no longer the flavor to attract elite recruits like the Fulmer days. This is a harsh reality that many refuse to believe.
Hahaha... I have an excellent, extremely accurate Ruger All Weather 77/22 with a stainless barrel that can cut paracord at 50 yds and put 3 rounds in a quarter at 100. But even if I missed, it would be fun to stir that nest up from distance. Maybe leave some tannerite in the hole?I’ve used a 22 for most of my life’s it’s my go to, but I’d be lucky to hit 8/10 on a skoal can at 100yards. Remind me not to piss you off.
