Velus' hammy injury is pretty concerning. Those can linger quite awhile and we really need him on the field.

He is practicing full speed…. They don’t think it is an issue….. keeping him taped for support right now.

We did nothing wrong as a university in the Pearl situation. He lied to NCAA investigators directly. Remember that this was on the heels of USC/Reggie Bush probation so the NCAA hadn't been castrated yet at that time. Pearl was getting a show-cause penalty no matter what we did.

Totally different than today’s climate.

Not only that, but in hindsight, I’m pretty sure Pearl lied about it to his administration. Try getting involved in controversy and then lie to your boss and see how that works out. In this case, the coverup was worse than the crime.

The 30 yr. old with covid and with the 20 mon. old son I posted about a few days ago are both doing much better, She did qualify for the 2 hr. infusion and has steadily improved each day since and her son's hfm disease has gradually been clearing up too.

Yes they can…. Tore mine playing Flag Football in the Army…. Just stepped wrong and boom bruised from my hip to my knee black…. It was bad lol took a long time to heal up and still gives me issues sometimes.

again you’re not going to get those premier Dbs until you show the ability to get the real guys upfront and prove the ability to produce draft picks. Why in the hell as a 5* Db would you go to UT past 2011? Exactly you wouldn’t because there’s absolutely no reason too. So elite recruiter or not nobody is coming here but a few who trusted CJP based on reputation. Again the UT brand is no longer the flavor to attract elite recruits like the Fulmer days. This is a harsh reality that many refuse to believe.

The BBQ was insanely minor….lying to the NCAA wasn’t minor.

It is extremely minor compared to paying players and offering fake classes. And Pearl called them right after, before they caught him, and told them he hadn't been entirely honest. Meanwhile Frank Haith's coaching staff was giving athletes rides to booster yachts full of strippers and prostitutes and passing them bags of cash from boosters, AND they proved Haith lied to the NCAA about it, but he got 3 games.

So like I said, Pearl's crimes were incredibly minor, even lying (briefly) to the NCAA.

Who cares about Bruce Pearl? It’s about protecting your assets(programs)…. Could you imagine Alabama wrecking their football program or any of their programs over a barbecue? No, they would have handled their business…. If Mike Hamilton had been in charge during the 90’s then Tennessee wouldn’t have a National Championship….. He put out every fire that came along.

Compared to other schools defending their coaches against far worse violations (and succeeding), your point kind of falls flat. His crimes were incredibly petty compared to what other schools fight the ncaa over and get away with.

The 3 year show cause he was given says differently.
