Butch seemed to have us moving the right direction...sadly once the spotlight and pressure really turned on he couldn't keep it going.

I think Heupel is a bit more grounded in that area and having played at the highest level will be a bit less intimidated by pressure. We might end up with a Mark Richt 2.0, and honestly I'd take that in a heartbeat at this point. Sure it'd be disappointing to always be ALMOST good enough to win the SEC, but from where we've been I'd have no issue with going to Atlanta and winning 10 games most seasons.

butch made big mistakes but playcalling wasn’t an issue until he made the grave mistake of hiring Larry scott.

brian Kelley had one awful year and was allowed to clean house and has fixed it. It’s very reasonable to think Butch could have us in a much better spot today than where we are now if allowed to survive his one bad year. Remember how good he was recruiting at that time.

Sorry it’s not popular here but the post butch years have buried us deep

His QB recruiting was abysmal and too much to overcome by the end.

It’s not that we will never beat those big three in fact I’d wager we do win some over that 5-7 year timeframe but it’s the other games we will lose that will prevent 10 win seasons. Let’s face it mizzu-Kentucky-ole miss are all programs we won’t beat much more than half the time

If she says she misses you after a breakup and going to couples therapy and you were just dating, she’s still interested.
