I don't understand AP's fixation with doing all podcasts and shows from a restaurant.

They pay. Gus' paid to host this podcast, they're paying Swain and AP and they'll pay the athlete's to appear.

Will be a more player focused version of Vol Calls is my guess.

We’re not saving the QB1 news to surprise BG. They don’t matter. And… they suck. The teams that matter will have ample film on Milton by the time we play them. I’m not sure what the point is. The guys in the QB room are well aware of who QB1 is. If they don’t, they’re not smart.

It seems like college coaches tend to do one of two things, depending on circumstances. They either know well in advance who the starting qb will be (e.g., a returning starter) and make no bones about it, or they hold the public announcement as long as possible. Even though the team has seen strong indications about who is leading by now, I assume the goal is to send a message to the qb's (and the rest of the team) that it's still a close enough competition that the head coach is not burning his bridges by making a statement.

Also, Pittsburgh, first opponent UMass, could use part of their preseason preparing differently for Milton vs Bailey vs Hooker if your starter was definitively known.
