Nebraska had some very good recruiting classes the last few years but most of that talent went the transfer route. Gotta take that is consideration. Frost said that the guys who stayed are the guys with character that will lead this team. Character is not talent and he will soon find this out. He recruited about 8 guys from Florida and only 1 is still on the team.

If players are bought in to the coaching staff, most will stay on the team. All teams will lose a few but a mass exodus like we had should only happen during coaching changes.

I'm curious to see how he does. Living in Arkansas I'm pretty familiar with him. Was he not cut pit for the SEC, or was the arkansas program just not in a position for anyone to succeed? I like him, he seems authentic and genuine, never got the sense he was too full of himself.

He inherited a mess at Arkansas as you know… Did relatively decent there. Three straight bowls also knocked off Freeze a few times and LSU as well… Arkansas is just a tough tough job. Battling Miss State to not to be last position wise. Hard for coaches to succeed there with 8-9+ wins every year

I disagree with this… in the Big 10 West Nebraska recruits the best in the division with Wisconsin usually just behind them. They have more talent than every program in their division yet they continue to be poorly Disciplined with stupid penalties and bone headed mistakes… Frost just isn’t cut out for the conference. No reason why Nebraska can’t contend for that division

Ya but going 0 in the SEC that last season made me wonder if he's capable of building or sustaining success for the long term. Illinois will be an easier job, although not a lot easier.
