Hey Geaux I forgot to ask but I’m assuming you haven’t been able to do Tennessee edits due to conflicts of interest yes?

Nah, just less free time since the baby was born. I also had photography access with Pruitts admin. Haven’t worked that out with the new group yet.

Have to remember that Bo Pelini had Nebraska as a consistent 9 game a year winner…

He's right. TN can and does still recruit inside the top 10. If you do that, you can play with anyone with the right coach. Nebraska doesn't recruit at that level anymore.

Didn't they say that about a hurricane last year or two years ago?

Lake Charles, which is further west got railed pretty bad a couple years ago. This one is hanging along the same path as Katrina (actually making landfall 16 years to the day) but is expected to be a Category 4. Katrina was a 3.

Somebody needs to challenge Andy to a fight at the Rock. We could sell it on pay-per-view.

I’m still a believer in Scott Frost, but I think he’s going to have to be in a place where he can recruit the kind of athletes he needs for his systems.

Nebraska just feels like a square peg in a round hole.

He’ll get another chance at like FIU or something and I would bet on him rebounding pretty quickly.

I don't know about all that. They have more talent than Illinois, and that was a poorly coached team out there today.

Ok, I'll concede they should be able to beat Illinois. And you might be able to win that division every now and then at Nebraska, but their days of being a national power are over and behind them. They'll never recruit well enough to compete with Ohio State, much less elite teams from the SEC.

I think his coaching has been exposed. Nebraska gave him everything he wanted and he still couldn’t get the job done.

Yeah, some adjustments will be needed.

At the end of the day, he can’t have many regrets. He tried to fix the place he calls home. It didn’t work, but he was their only hope.

They are going to have to run the triple option or something to ever get where they want to be.

When you hire your dream coach, what do you do after he fails? Sobering. Nebraska will go through that this off season and Michigan will be right behind them.

We are all good though. If Heupel doesn't work out Gruden will probably be available by then and it will be raining Nattys around here.

Nebraska essentially borders Kansas, South Dakota, Wyoming, Iowa, Colorado, and Missouri. Very few good players come from those states. Not playing all those Texas and Oklahoma schools every year killed their recruiting

This I agree with. I think Nebraska is just too hard to recruit to.

Why? He caught lightning in a bottle at UCF
