Obviously was waiting on someone to complain about something the coach is not doing right so he hop in. Then suggest CJH was only hired because it made the AD comfortable.
Imagine being an up and coming AD regarded by many as one of the best AD's in the entire country, and you get hired at your biggest job yet, a historical program that is struggling in their focal sport. Then in making that football coach hire, the most important hire of your career, you just hire your buddy because it's comfortable.

You have to be stupid to believe that White just hired Heupel because he was comfortable with him. Of course, Kingston was cheerleading for us to hire Tee so I wouldn't put anything past him.

This is an extremely ignorant post for more than one reason.

Firstly, Heup was not failing. No matter what his record was in the covid year, he had the best offense in college football, just as he had for 3 straight years. That's not failing.

Second, I was not wanting to bring Pruitt back at all. Go back and read nearly every game thread following the KY lost and see Nick quoting me as firing Pruitt. So not only are you ignorant, you are lying.

Third, at least I have info. You have none but pretend to. It's pathetic tbh.
Let’s put our money where I mouth is, so to speak.

You have info and you think this team is going to be good.

If this team wins more than 6, I will never post here again. If it wins less than 6, you have to go back to the Pruitt beard avi you had right up to the day he was fired.

Good?

Again, you are lying. Not only about my avi, but even if we won more than 6, you wouldn't go away. You'd change your handle and be right back on here "We should've hired Tee!"

You're a fake insider who hopes this team fails. Sad.

So you're officially on record saying JH will fail. Duly noted.
What's a coach not being on our original wish list in January have to do with thinking he'll do well now?

I'd say a majority here were a good bit baffled, if for just a few hours before researching Hype, when his name popped up and landed. But then most did their research and gained optimism on him.

its difficult to see a coach who went 6-4 at a school killing it in this league, esp after we led NCAA in attrition. I honestly think we scored in transfer market and he made some good moves. I like what im hearing from kids on campus. But I question not moving Lenneth and Tee to LB.

He made some really solid coaching hires. Which will pay dividends. That said this team went 3-7 last year. Our qb wont be worse, it cant get any worse, but, it wasnt great at its previous stop. Our WR's havent created separation since JJ & MC. Even then, shut them down and Capt Interception was lousy.

We add 3 wins to schedule this year 3 + 3 is 6. 6-6.

It would be super cool to have the knowledge of a butcher or cattle man. To be able to take a dead animal, and know what goes where then how to prep it.
I was a meat cutter for 10 years and then got in the wholesale side of the business and worked my way to the corporate office where I had P&L responsibility for the entire country. 43 total years in the meat industry when I retired and it amazes me what people think they know about beef (or meat in general) and how it's raised and killed and processed. It's an eye opening experience to visit any kill facility.

Lol if I would have suggested Heupel in November you would have laughed just like the rest of any possible list.

We got down to the bottom of the barrel just as I expected - there’s no way I could have predicted we would hire an AD who would hire his failing buddy.

I’m not going to argue with you Bass. You were sheeping for bringing Pruitt back all the way up to the day he was fired. But now you play the other side that he was obviously terrible.

You’re an orange glasses wearing glorified hype man who parlayed a VolNation account into recruiting info.
😮

Could very well happen! Bass has been on record saying he thinks we’ll win 7 or 8. I gave him a very easy bet at 6 wins, I think.

He would rather sheep it up for likes than give us an actual opinion on what he thinks will happen.

ive seen the docs. hard pass. Granted i still love my Kroger ribeyes.

Barnes and Vitello were up against a different landscape though. They definitely overachieved but the mountain to climb in SEC football is Everest. There’s so much more money involved, and teams on top have a vested interest in keeping their foot on our neck. Then we have an issue with the NCAA.

I think Heupel is the best hire we’ve made in a long time, but to get to where we want to go, there needs to be some major shakeups elsewhere in the SEC. We need some luck in the worst way.

SEC Baseball is tougher than SEC Football.
