Wouldn't have taken that bet, and it has nothing to do with whether I think Heupel is any good or not. If this roster has several of the starters at OL, DB or LB miss extended time to injury..then winning five could and probably will be a struggle.

Plus...I thought he said 6-6 originally, but then he said more than 6, which means at least 7-5...so which will you honor?

I would take that bet in a heartbeat….. we will definitely get to 6 wins and I feel 7 is almost guaranteed….. people need to have a backbone…. What kind of Tennessee fan bets against Tennessee any ways.

If Campbell can win at Iowa State...then Frost can win at Nebraska.

Campbell has the luxury of low expectations, which is allowing him to build steadily over time.

If you took Campbell’s record at Iowa State in his first four seasons and transitioned it to Nebraska (no top 25 finishes; 5+ losses every year), he’d have either been fired or would have entered year 5 on the hot seat.

The other worldly expectations of Nebraska fans is part of why it is so hard to win there. They’ve fallen way behind and need time to build, but the fans are impatient.

Campbell had a bad first year but he won at least 7-8 games every year after that Frost is struggling to win 5 games in a season and he is in year 4 not sure I get your reasoning on Campbell and expectations. Frost has been a total failure and no amount of years will fix that..

I posted practice updates earlier….. main points was Joe is definitely qb1 hooker looked like 2 and bailey 3…… thinks tiyon evans may start at rb….. Hyatt in the slot a lot today….. receivers look good…… they did scout team work today and the joe Milton led offense had really good rhythm all of practice….. didn’t get to see the defense work.

I would never bet against the Vols...but I think a total disaster season is a bad possibility. We are so thin at OL, DB and LB...and have zero proven (at least to this point) QBs to run a offense that needs a really good QB to hum.

We absolutely have to have a lucky season for once when it comes to injuries, and we have to hit on one of these QBs.

It could happen though, teams do have relatively good injury years, it just never seems to happen for us.
