Might not have Orange blood but when he said he can't wait to hear Rocky Top and he's getting goosebumps just thinking about it. Yeah, he's going to give his all here! I hope he's able to perform, I'm tired of rebuilds
Are you telling me he’s never heard Rocky Top?

The difference is that Heupal inherited a program that could ONLY go down. Then he lost just one game his first year. I know people don't want to hear it, but Covid is just a fact. UCF had 10 opt outs this year- 2 were starters and I believe 5 were reserve linemen on both sides.

It's possible the fanbase is just upset about this season but that isn't the impression I got from reading some of their comments.

Still can’t figure out the fascination with this dude on twitter. He’s bitched and moaned for months now, he’s 23 and only been a fan for about 10 years and yet he acts like he knows everything about the program.

First time I’ve seen anything he has posted. “I don’t have the Twitter” I just thought it was an accurate statement.

Welp. About 90% of non Tennessee media and sports forums like reddit are absolutely bashing the hire and are laughing at us again. Didn't realise how much UCF fans HATE this guy. I mean seriously go check it out.

Very likely we are going to be back here in 4 years. I'm not happy about it. But it is what it is. We are probably cellar dwellers for another decade.

With all sincerity, please go follow another team. Your negativity shows the type of person you are. I bet you don’t put the buggy back into the cart holder at the grocery store either.
I am not a negative person and have loved the Vols for decades. I have been hopeful and supported every coach hired post Phil. I guess the run of incompetence has gotten to me. maybe CJH will be the one. We can only hope!

We need Rodney Garner and some really good recruiters on staff. Travis Willams that was the Auburn linebackers coach would be a good pickup and hopefully keep Jay Graham and Steele.

IMO, that is a combo of 1) the regression they've seen under Heupel combined with 2) they are butthurt that their old AD, who they adored, ended up stealing their football coach. They might not have loved Heupel, but I think they are really rubbed the wrong way that he ended up leaving with the AD.

After what Heupel was able to do with true freshman Gabriel, I would be okay if Hendon Hooker went elsewhere and we used his spot on another position.

Overall - excited about our offense. Looking forward to seeing the staff he puts together and the kids he offers.

Should be a fun offseason.

Why? What is the reasoning behind it? I'm not seeing what there really is to bash. He has better offenses than Harsin that was hired at Auburn in a tougher conference. Harsin was universally praised. Heupel also has a higher win %. He also has coached in the SEC and had the top offense at a mid level school.
