Redskins retiring Sean Taylor’s #21 is such a corny move.

Tragic how he died and all, but he was pretty mediocre his first couple of years in the league. Gave up as many big plays as he made. I personally remember Terry Glenn eating his lunch multiple times when they played. Coincidentally - Terry Glenn also tragically passed before his time.

He was becoming very good - but he’s a guy who was beloved and as such completely overrated after his passing. Having formerly lived in Virginia Beach/Chesapeake (Redskins country) I had to listen to fans for years call him the best of all time and better than Ronnie Lott etc.
It's a distraction from all the 'other stuff' going on with that franchise right now. Nothing more.

I was good viewing this game as 'probably shouldn't but would be gravy, if we did'.

Now the attention it's drawing, especially from recruits, knowing REALLY hungry fans are about to put everything into the atmosphere, plus it could shine a really good light on the rebuild..
I'm all wound up like one of our old toss-up rivalry games.

Don't even know why I bother lying to myself about falling right back in.
Every. Single. Time.
