15 years ago I was told I had to give a 68 no matter what their grade was because they needed to be encouraged. I asked if I could just put “F“ so I was not lying and was told no. Was also told I could not put an “X” by a wrong answer. It had to be circled because the “X” made them feel bad. I asked how long before circles made them feel bad.

This was pretty much my experience at one of the two high schools I’ve taught at.

It has also been my experience that those students who want to learn and get good grades (not necessarily the same thing) can and will do so regardless of race, gender, or ethnicity. Those who don’t want to, regardless of race, gender, or ethnicity, won’t.

It’s not bad. More awkward than anything else. You’re in ATL. Plenty of docs who do the procedure often. It’s routine.
