If HB goes somewhere else and has great success, then JH will deserve the criticism for not being able to figure out how to use him and letting him walk.

I don't know what will happen with HBs future, but I would take the side that Heupel is most probably right about him...he seems to know what he is about when it comes to QBs.

But...he could be wrong..

I doubt it though.
I don't think it has to be either/or. Take for instance Joe Burrow leaving Ohio St. He was not good enough to win the job there but got better. He was obviously getting good coaching there and kept developing.

I would say he’s just as dumb as Pruitt and he just got lucky that Milton got hurt.
You mean the guy that has never had poor QB play in a season is the same as Pruitt….. Milton was out practicing everyone….. Hooker made huge strides between Pitt and Florida….. Bailey was never close to competing for the starting job.

Truth hurts. We still haven’t beat anyone worth a crap but you guys already offering extensions just because a team shows a little fight.
Truth be told, if you can't appreciate the fight this team is showing, you should find another hobby. And if you don't realize the accomplishments of these coaches in these circumstances, you really should not be deciding who gets offered an extension. Just being truthful.

Honestly...HB transferring is a bit easier/makes more sense.

Toot was starting and would have continued to start...so him moving doesn't make much sense and going to Bama to be the 2nd or 3rd best LB on the field at all times can't really help draft stock. But maybe the "business" decision side of it was the fat money he got to transfer.

With a QB if you're 3rd on the depth chart still in year 2 with both guys ahead of you and the incoming talent all better fits (on paper) to run the offense...seems like the writing is on the wall a bit.

Hell HB may even transfer to Vanderbilt, he absolutely will start there and I think they'd run an offense he'd fit better. Plus depending on what he wants to do with his degree could be a benefit there as well.
Except that he was probably #1 on the “accountant’s” book of who Pruitt was paying.
Then Grey, Morris,
