These refs. No way that's intentional grounding. He wasn't under pressure, and the wr broke the wrong way.

Waaaay off topic, but does anyone remember that story of the Virginia Tech freshman football player that murdered that old guy in Blacksburg last year?

I got more details on it the other day. Kid has been released and will probably get off scot-free on self defense.

The old guy was catfishing dudes in Blacksburg then drugging and raping them. He got the football player, who woke up/came to and beat him to death in his basement. The player said he didn't even mean to kill him, and that he was alive when he left the house and went to police. Wild.

It is fine to question the source. I'm sure you're not the only one questioning the information. But, you have to know the poster a little bit, at least. If you have been here longer than one day, you should know that Bass is about as far from a troll as you can be. This is the second day in a row that you've chosen to die on a very weird hill.

I can agree with that MAYBE.

But what they are asking these kids to do is straight un-anatomical. The biggest pads they wear are on their shoulders.

When a ref can show me how to hit someone shoulders first (safest) without also dropping your head (least safe) then I'll agree with the rule. But it isn't possible.

Obviously in a perfect world your head goes to one side and doesn't make contact. But they are never going to be able to change the game where everyone makes that tackle like a blast double leg in wrestling, except where both guys are running full speed. It's completely unnatural.
Yes I agree with you…it’s insane. All I was saying is that by definition of the rule, it was the correct call. But it’s also a ridiculous rule..
