I’m surprised Clawsons name isnt being mentioned in all these coaching hot boards. What he’s done at Wake Forest is pretty comparable to Stoops at Kentucky IMO

i really think Meatloaf Mullen is a good coach. They killed us and played bama very close. Might be a mistake letting him go. Hope they make a **** hire. Goes to show that you can't have a rebuild year.

Bigger than what Stoops has done in my opinion.

Keep in mind with Florida, they’ve now gotten it “wrong” (Zook, Mcelwain, Muschamp, and Mullen) as often they’ve gotten it “right” (Spurrier and Meyer). Track record is not flawless!

Other things to keep in mind:

• Took Spurrier 7 years to win a national title
• Meyer had big success fast, but had trouble sustaining it, thus he quit
• The guys they've gotten "wrong" generally were considered extremely good hires

You take all this together, and you start to realize Florida may not be the elite job it's sold as being.
