Doering went off on the Florida fan base on the sec network this morning, saying that a segment of the fan base was basically were spoiled and unrealistic to downright obnoxious. Talked about the fly overs calling for the Zook firing and other things he brought up. Pretty much said gator fans were ready to fire any coach that lost 2 games in the same season. GBO! I love it!

If Napier doesn't get a head coaching job this time he must be a hype train to nowhere. If he turns down a big job now in the sec or isn't even offered he probably isn't getting one. Good grief everytime a search is on his name gets thrown out there, everybody has said he wants the LSU job. Well LSU and Florida are open, but why do I feel like he isn't going to be the man at either spot. Not saying he would be good or not I don't know, but for as long as he has been hyped for jobs I would think the iron probably isn't going to be any hotter than now. GBO!!!!!!

That’s why I am saying I would be shocked if they did it again. If they do, then they are content with staying where they are.

The coaching landscape has just changed so much. Everyone has money, and why would a high level coach leave his current job to take a job where they just fired the coach that went 34-15?

Mullen was an exception because he had previous ties to UF.

Other than the Ohio State job opening up, what job attracts Luke Fickell? With what he's doing at Cincinnati, he has to be at the top of some of these coaching lists.

Hit take, but I'm not sure what the relationship is with Stricklen and MSU but would he try and pull Leach to UF?

He didn't hire Leach at MSU. He would also make that divide between him and MSU fans that much wider. Stricklin is a MSU alum and married the daughter of the best basketball player in their history. He only took the UF job because they came back with an offer that he couldn't refuse. He won't go that route again.

Next year is going to be treading water at best...too much loss off an already thin team. We are going to have to get used to this until we get at least 2-3 full classes in and get them developed. I don’t think depending on the portal for rejects is going to be the answer for long term success. We have to get several good solid classes of high schoolers in the process.
With the type of offense CJH runs, it is immensely valuable to have skilled position players return and start the season with experience. If we have to break in a new QB & WR next year, we will start off next year the same way as this year. Selfishly I would love to see HH return to at least have that position stable another year while our newcomers learn. I think we could find some above average WR's in the portal but QB is totally different in this system. JMO
