With the type of offense CJH runs, it is immensely valuable to have skilled position players return and start the season with experience. If we have to break in a new QB & WR next year, we will start off next year the same way as this year. Selfishly I would love to see HH return to at least have that position stable another year while our newcomers learn. I think we could find some above average WR's in the portal but QB is totally different in this system. JMO
I feel almost the complete opposite (not that I want inexperienced players, but...). There's a reason CJH's offense rarely ever has a down year. It's as close to "plug and play" and simple as you can get. It may not be this great, but will be good-to-very good regardless.

The opposite imo is a Chaney or Clawson like offense, where every game it was talked about if our QBs could even "get us lined up" 🤭 Now we're going 10x faster and even a brand new transfer was able to kill it.

He's doing everything you need to do in this age of football. Not a ton of practice time, lots of distractions, transfers and movement every year. It's perfect in that sense and should help fend off having a majorly down offensive season.

Very risky. He's had demonstrated success but I don't know if it's as impressive as what Mullen did at Miss St.
Dude literally had to drop from Clemson OC in 2010 after only mustering 24 ppg and become an analyst lol.

I think there's a reason nobody has "plucked him"...red flags, but somebody will be eventually fooled by his Saban coachspeak.

Can’t remember the last time I’ve been this excited about the future. Maybe it was the smoke and mirrors Butch years.

Nevertheless, I’m ready for either a nut kick or for us to start being hated by everybody again.

Expound. I know nothing about the guy.
Let go at clemson as OC before they really took off and coached wide outs at Bama before Louisiana. Good recruiter and teams play hard. But nothing scary about him. He would be a step down from Mullen in regards to X’s and O’s.

Imagine being an offensive coach in this era and having ONLY coached ONE QB, in your career since 2008, to passing over 8 YPA...8.1 to be exact 😭 Even UF fans are afraid if he calls his own plays...

The numbers on Billy Napier re: QB play

Fwiw what a real offensive coach does:

2021 Hooker - 9.9 YPA
2020 Gabriel - 8.6 YPA
2019 Gabriel - 9.2 YPA
2018 Milton - 9.2 YPA
2017 Lock - 9.5 YPA
