I need a recommendation. I have two nephews that have gotten into expensive bourbon. I'm going to get them a bottle for Christmas. My budget is $200ish. What should I buy?

I’m a newbie in the bourbon world but my guess would be if you could find Weller 12 year. Should be around 150 I think? Not sure because I’ve never actually seen a bottle in person

When I visited Knoxville in the summer, I had a friend here in Cali ask me to pick him up a bottle. Got one for only $150 at Toddy’s (listed $200).

Can’t believe all the posts about not enjoying being with family during the holidays. We has a ball together. I laughed until I was hoarse. The grands ran around chasing my daughter through the house while screaming at the top of their lungs. I said it was the “sound of happiness” to which my nephew said it was the “sound of birth control” lol.

I always enjoy time with my immediate family and extended family with Thanksgiving as my favorite holiday. This year, I spent thanksgiving in China, but my work family arranged an excellent get together at the Crowne Plaza in Suzhou for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. The chef prepared turkey, steak, unbelievable side dishes and topped it off with an apple pie for dessert. We enjoyed some nice French wine and then shared some post dinner Jameson cocktails. I even took some turkey back to the hotel for sandwiches on Friday and Saturday (today). Barring any travel disruptions, I will make it back in time for Christmas. Holidays can be stressful, but cherish those family times.

If you're getting blantons single barrel for 80 lmk that's a steal. Most is between 150 and 250 just depending on where. EH Taylor is a good one. Another is Michter 10 year, love the maple flavor in it
