Idk, I would be all over it @ -13.5, we did 14 against USA. Not sure Vandy will score in the first. That -7.5 looks awesome though.

Only thing worrying me slightly this week is Vandy's starter being out is actually worse for us imo. The backup is a better passer (Seals was awful of course) and a good runner. They've given better fight the last 3 games and actually outgained Ole Miss in yardage. Have kept the Q1 margin to 3, 3, and 7 the last 3 games.

Of course we're such a monster in 1st quarters, it still seems like a pretty good bet.

That +31.5 Vandy actually looks pretty intriguing the way they adjusted to Ole Miss and we typically struggle vs running QBs. Just hate to bet against us....not that hoping we "only" win by 30 is really betting against us

If I were a betting person I would hammer that line for these reasons. I was expecting something like -20. -31.5 is way too much when we haven’t been able to stop a running QB all year.

Bama has gotten the Golden Child Boy Slurping because of the SEC and the SEC Administration has created more crap for us as we are the sacrificial Lamp of the SEC. AL, LSU, FL, Auburn, GA, Ole Miss, and other School incidents have for the most part been totally ignored by the SEC. We are the Red-headed Step Child. The Media has used it. Like I said I don't disagree with your take on the media, but I do think we have to accept some Self Inflicted Chest Wounds and the SEC injustice in the process as part of the Media's piling onto us. Look at LSU and Auburn for examples.

And only 7 posts down from a teach-in on RF-isms for the uninitiated, we have a new nominee - Sacrificial Lamp. Difficult to easily work into conversation, but builds a fun mental image of how the process of sacrificing the lamp would play out.

I hope we whoop up on Vandy today. I’m nervous, but I’m always nervous. This is all Vandy has left to play for and they hung around with Ole Miss. Can’t make a bunch of mistakes and let them stick around.

I’m also going to be there and haven’t witnessed a win in Neyland since we beat Florida in 2016. In fairness, though, I’ve only been 3 times since then. But I need a W.

Playing better since they put that running qb in. Probably try to play keep away. My only concern is the running qb but that’s really all he does so should be able to focus on his running without fear of big pass

okay so we know our coaching staff can make the most of what they have, can coach their rears off, the players love them, and they can develop kids .... But what I haven't seen yet is their ability to RECRUIT, which is one of the keys to being successful in the SEC... I don't think they get it coming from UCF... I hope they don't think they will just keep maximizing what they have and it will all work out... we need talent at every position, and talent is currently being scooped up and going elsewhere... to schools we whipped...
unless they know something we don't and have agreements with portal kids and some silent commits, they need to step it up in a major way... This is one of things I was worried about when they announced the hire... I hope he proves me wrong, but right now at this point in the year, I am certainly not getting a good feeling...

Ole miss played awful. Missed a chippy field goal and threw a pick on the goaline. Easily could have been in the 40s. Sure Vandy played better I guess but still only scored 17 points. Ole miss still averaged almost 8 yards per play and they were still kind of off that night.

You can win a N.C. at Miami.......zero chance at ole miss

Neither school is winning a NC in the next 4-5 years with Kiffin at the helm, so it doesn't matter as far as he is concerned anyway.

I get the potential at Miami but you don't run a program in a vacuum. Miami has destroyed all of their built-in advantages, and their competition has limited or outright eliminated the rest.

They have a lot of work to do and a long road to get back to the Miami that people knew them as. Football is cyclical so they will get their day again, just as we will. It's not happening as soon as they want it to. And Kiffin wouldn't get the time, or want to invest it honestly, to get them to NC level.
