Anyone talking about Hugh Freeze stepping up from purgatory and jumping into one of these spots? I could see him getting a look at maybe another school like KY or filling Napier's spot if Stoops leaves to go to LSU or OK... may be a name to watch out of the blue...
Not many, if any schools are gonna stick him in the driver's seat of a $300mil+ program.Anyone talking about Hugh Freeze stepping up from purgatory and jumping into one of these spots? Spread doesn’t mean pass all the time. You can still ground and pound in spread formations (Georgia) (Bama) (Kentucky) (Cincinnati) (Michigan) etcCurrent OU thread (fans talking) did list Heupel, but another poster said no to Heupel - because (just like some of them believe re: Riley) they need a "big boy football" coach Are they seriously stuck in 2010?
Almost EVERY SEC team has gone spread and away from old school smashmouth football. Even ole UK and UGA are finally adapting and spreading it out somewhat.
Do they really think the SEC is still ground and pound and defense?
Time to eat my crow. Though 7-5 was accurate, I just didn't think we could boost the offense this much in just 1 year. Also thought we'd have more close wins (mizzou, uscjr).
The way we turned from a perennial ~22 ppg offense to almost 40 is still blowing my mind. The way we completely blew multiple SEC opponents out of the water...the way we competed in every game (I believe we led in every game at some point).
Just fantastic for a Y1.
What kind of crow are some of y'all eating now that the regular season is over?
