Vanderbilt football report card: Grading Clark Lea in final Year 1 performance
lmao, the Tennessean graded Vandy’s report card at B’s across the board for losing 45-21.
The only positive thing you can say about Vandy's year is that their players did not appear to quit.Vanderbilt football report card: Grading Clark Lea in final Year 1 performance

“I had been under one umbrella my entire coaching career,” Heupel says. “The opportunities I have had to go to other places after Oklahoma either confirmed things or opened my eyes to things I would want to do in my own program. I’m a better coach today because I left Oklahoma.”
- Heupel quote from 2018 Orlando Sentinel article.
Heupel
Guy on OU board asked about Heupel and was immediately shot down. Not bc Heupel isn’t good but basically everyone was saying that Heupel wouldn’t even pick up the phone.
My favorite ones:
“Heupel won’t even talk about OU. He is not coming back. Wish him luck at whatever school he’s at but that’s not going to be OU. Especially with Bob around.”
“Josh Heupel probably heard the news yesterday and laughed his **** off.”
“Yet Shane Beamer is a front runner per reports the definition of soft - believe Heupel just scored another TD on Carolina.”
Huepel is heady. I gaurantee no one knows anything.Heupel

That is not at all what I have seen from him. I don't think he has an effort or even a technique issue. I think he has a "physical limitations" issue that is not necessarily correctable. He is just very heavy footed. His balance is not good. I do not think he has the physical tools to be successful at the SEC level.Might want to check the tape...
From UT Sports:
2021 – RS-SOPHOMORE
Made first-career start at #4 Alabama (10/23), playing 57 snaps at right tackle without committing a penalty or allowing a pressure ... Played a season-high 80 snaps at right tackle vs. #13 Ole Miss (10/16) ... Played 26 offensive snaps as a reserve tackle without allowing a sack or pressure as UT racked up 683 yards of total offense in win at Mizzou (10/2) ... Saw significant action as a reserve in win vs. Tennessee Tech (9/18) ... Did not allow a pressure or commit a penalty in 43 snaps against the Golden Eagles ... Made collegiate debut in season-opening win vs. Bowling Green (9/2), seeing time on special teams and as a reserve offensive tackle ... Played seven offensive snaps in the opener.
I mean he's played some clean ball and penalty free according to the stats.
So we all know that Heupel was fired by Stoops. But some OU fans claim that he fired Heupel bc he needed a scapegoat and wouldn’t fire his DC/brother, Mike.If it is true that Heupel did not return to OU this past summer to celebrate with his team mates from the 2000 team are true, I would guess he doesn't care about OU's opening. That is pretty telling.
Clark Lea with the same song that Missouri, Kentucky, and South Carolina had. Those lower-half programs need us to be on their level so they feel relevant. They can't conceive or afford the idea of Tennessee leaping out of their tier of mediocrity.

The on-field recognition was earlier this year, and they only listed the guys on the jumbotron who were there on the field, in attendance. There were a ton of players from that 2000 team, including Heupel, who weren't there and weren't listed. If it is true that Heupel did not return to OU this past summer to celebrate with his team mates from the 2000 team are true, I would guess he doesn't care about OU's opening.
