Alright fellas, 10 team league with $200 buy in. Curious to hear thoughts on my squad
Eh, honestly I don't like it. Kittle and Jones are good, defense is great, but don't like your WR or QB. Kupp has to share too much with Woods, Godwin has to share too much with Evans and Brown, Gibson plays for Washington, Montgomery is sub par (had him last year, infuriating player to own, truckload of carries, never does anything with them). You don't have any high ceiling/sleepers either, other than maybe Hines. You have enough RB1/WR1 to make the playoffs probably, but I don't like your chances of winning. All just my opinion.

Honestly, and I love Neyland. But I'd rather have Nissan Stadium sitting in Knoxville and packed out with 69k than sit on damn hard ass bleachers with a stadium that rarely sells out.
Not me. Part of my football Fandom is tied directly to the game day experience of what Neyland is. Crammed next to a complete stranger on a bench seat, with the peoples knees behind you in your back, your knees in the backs of the people in front of you, yelling at the top of our lungs, standing nearly the entire game, listening to the best band in the world, pumping out Rocky Top with 100k fans in attendance.

I have been to 1 game in Nissan Stadium and was very disappointed. It didn't feel like football to me. If I am going for the comfort and amenities then I'm just staying at home and saving a sh** ton of money every year.

I have said over and over that I doubt Milton being able to be fixed at this point, I have said if anybody can fix him, it is Heupel. I have said I understand why Heupel wants to fix him, and he should be the starter for now. I have said I want Bailey to be given a chance to play...not start. I have said I think he could do the job.

I have said as clearly as I know how at least a hundred times by now...I think even good smart coaches can be blinded by the kind of spectacular talent Milton has, but I really have doubts he can really be fixed by anybody, and I also understand why it has to be tried and given every chance to succeed...because IF Heupel can straighten him out and get the most out of that prodigious talent...we will win big, and Milton will be a Heisman contender.

These are your words, correct? I don't want anyone thinking I'm putting words in your mouth.

We sold out most conference home games up until two years ago. Fans took 10 years to get fed up enough to stop coming. They’ll be back at the first inkling of winning.

What in the hell are you talking about? How in the hell is that unclear?

I trust Heupel to a point, I do not have blind trust in him, and I do understand the huge benefits that could come from playing Milton, I understand the "why"...BUT..I have severe doubts that he will/can become consistently dependable, and have I clearly expressed those doubts in him since we signed him.

I hope the guy blows the roof off of this joint.

You said you believed he couldn't be fixed, did you not? I don't want to put words in your mouth, but I swear you've said more than once you don't think he can be fixed.
I said I had severe doubts...he did absolute zilch to prove me wrong...can you really not understand how that doubt just got ratcheted up?

He also said Heupel made a mistake in deciding to start Milton after he poo pooed the idea that Heupel conducted a meaningful quarterback competition.
I think Heupel wanted him and got him...the dude was available and has spectacular talent, so I get why he would.

Look..I evidently don't know how to adequately express the ambiguity I feel about this. Some folks are understanding me, and some are not.

It’s not just that….. attendance has went down all over the place….. TVs have gotten better and every single game is on television now….. when I was younger…. We had to listen to a good portion of the games on the radio.

I think it's going to be hilarious when Milton gets benched, Hooker ends up killing it, and HB redshirts, completely defying the dreams and aspirations of everyone emotionally invested in the QB drama.

P.S. Great job on tossing yet another hand grenade into the debate.
That could seriously happen...the kid is very talented.

This^

I've been to a lot of games in Neyland and Nissan Stadium (well... Nissan, LP, Adelphia). I do wish Neyland was a tad more comfortable, but game experiences have been was more exciting. Maybe because it's college football?

The most exciting events I've experienced in Nissan Stadium were: The Titans comeback of the Giants back in the VY and Pacman Jones years, then a long list of USMNT soccer games, then the Music Bowl against Nebraska, then other Titans games. Maybe because most of the Titans games I went to was from McNair, Volek, to VY.
