And in 2015 7 of the games he played in he was 60% or better, really only had one bad outing against OU. Most fans were of course over critical of him. But what's the saying, you don't know what you got until it's gone?

Honestly I just wish he had been given the reigns outright in 2014 and just not bothered with Worley or Peterman.

He struggled with the deep ball and some seam routes until his last year. I don’t recall what they were exactly, but I also recall his stats against USC in 2016 were ugly.

Dobbs wasnt then and isn’t now the most accurate passer. Also, his completion percentage was inflated by those little forward pitch sweeps behind the line of scrimmage. Still, he was a better fit for the offense just like AK was.

I've never heard of a day to day oblique injury actually. Those things are tricky like hamstrings. Thats why everytime you see an MLB player with one it takes literally weeks.

I really like Dobbs but completion percentage can be very misleading. He had problems hitting receivers down field as well. He played very well his senior year.
Below is JG stats. His completion percentage and TD/INT ratio is about the same excluding Dobbs senior year.. Again I like Dobbs more than any qb we have had since he was here but he was just ok until his senior year.

I thought we all knew that. I remember when people were begging for Dobbs to get benched every week for damn Quentin Dormady lol

Yep, he was exactly what we needed with that awful OL. He didn't just prevent negative plays, he turned sacks into huge runs.

In fact, only a slight exaggeration, I don't think manning or any other great traditional QB would have done as well as Dobbs with that OL.
